Serang, MINA – Dewa United held a 2-0 lead throughout the first half over Arema FC in their Week 18 match of the 2025-2026 Super League at Banten International Stadium on Monday evening WIB.
The Banten Warriors scored both goals through Alex Martins (39) in the 2nd and 43rd minutes. Dewa United’s early goals were scored from the penalty spot.
The second half began.
Arema’s Golden Chance
The kick-off began with an Arema FC player. However, it was the home team who launched a barrage of attacks first.
In the 53rd minute, Singo Edan created a golden opportunity.
Through the individual skill of Gabriel Silva (7), Arema attacked down the left side of Dewa United’s territory. When Gabriel Silva was distracted, his low cross was missed by Dalberto (94th). The ball sailed across the goal.

In the 62nd minute, Dalberto, receiving a through ball, sprinted alone towards the penalty box. Goalkeeper Sony Stevens immediately stepped forward to narrow Dalberto’s shooting space.
Dalberto managed to get past goalkeeper Sonny by moving to the right. However, his position was too sideways. When he shot from a tight angle into the empty net, the ball missed, hitting the outside of the net.
Taisei Marukawa’s Turn
In the 67th minute, it was the home team’s turn to create a golden opportunity on the attack.
Taisei Marukawa (11) unleashed a powerful shot at goal from the left side of the penalty box. However, goalkeeper Lucas Frigeri was able to block the Japanese player’s shot.

In the 73rd minute, Marukawa also fired a shot from outside the penalty box, but it went just wide of the left side of the goal.
Almost a hattrick
The Singo Edan squad continued to try to catch up, but Arema’s attacking rhythm began to slow down in the final ten minutes of the match.
Dewa United played more of the ball in their own half, waiting for a way out. And finally, Marukawa found a way through, sending a through ball to Alex Martins in the 84th minute.

The score remained 2-0, Dewa United’s victory. These three points lifted Dewa United to 10th place in the standings, overtaking Arema FC, who dropped to 11th. []
