Dewa United vs Arema FC: Penalty in the 2nd Minute

Serang, MINA – The Dewa United vs Arema FC match was the final match of Week 18 of the 2025-2026 Indonesian Super League. The Banten Warriors vs Singo Edan duel took place at the Banten International Stadium on Monday evening.

The two teams are separated by just one point, occupying 11th and 10th place respectively in the standings. The winning team will move up to 9th place, currently occupied by Bhayangkara FC.

This match featured a showcase for new players. Dewa United has brought in Moroccan player Noah Wail Sadaoui from Indian Premier League club Kerala Blasters and Vico Duarte on loan from Malut United.

Meanwhile, Arema FC also brought in two new players from Brazil, Gabriel Silva and Gustavo Franca.

The kick-off began with a Dewa United player who set the tempo in midfield.

However, in the 2nd minute, Arema FC lost the ball, which was quickly pounced on by a home player. A through ball was then passed to Alexis Messidoro (28).
The Argentine player escaped into the penalty box. Defender Johan Alfarizi (87), who was passed, reflexively grabbed Messidoro’s arm, causing him to fall inside the penalty area.

In the 18th minute, Matheus Blade (25) attempted a shot from outside the penalty box after receiving a rebound. However, it was easily saved by the Dewa United senior goalkeeper.

Singo Edan continued their onslaught in search of an equalizer. However, they were still unable to break through the home defense.

Conversely, in the 33rd minute, Dewa United surrounded Arema FC’s defense, looking for a gap to penetrate the penalty box.
