Gaza, MINA – Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) injured 56 Palestinians during peaceful anti-occupation rallies in the eastern part of the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday, according to the Health Ministry.

In a written statement, the Red Crescent Society said Israeli soldiers used live and rubber bullets as well as teargas during peaceful demonstrations held by Palestinians at the eastern part of the Strip, PIC reported.

Two journalists were among the reported injuries, the sources added.

Since the mass Gaza rallies began on March 30, more than 100 Palestinian protesters have been killed by Israeli army gunfire. Most of the casualties occurred on May 14 when the forces killed 60 Palestinians.(R/R04/RS5)
