London, MINA – Arsenal and Chelsea drew 1-1 in the first half of the 2025/2026 Premier League match at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Both goals were scored by the Gunners: William Saliba (2) in the 21st minute and Piero Hincapie (5) in the 45+2nd minute. However, the second goal was an own goal.

In the second half, the Blues increased their attack, creating several golden opportunities. However, goalkeeper David Raya (1) performed brilliantly, making crucial saves.

Disaster struck Chelsea in the 66th and 70th minutes.

In the 66th minute, Arsenal scored a goal to double the lead. Starting from a corner kick, Jurrien Timber (12) won an aerial battle in front of the Chelsea goal and scored.

The score was 2-1 in favor of the hosts.

In the 70th minute, a missed Chelsea corner gave Arsenal a great opportunity on the counterattack. Players who hadn’t returned to their defensive lines forced Pedro Neto (7) into a hard foul to stop the opponent’s attack.

Neto’s foul resulted in a red card. Chelsea were then reduced to 10 men.

Raya’s Brilliant Save

Despite being outnumbered, Chelsea managed to press high in injury time, forcing goalkeeper David Raya to make another brilliant save, preventing a draw.

The Blues’ efforts finally paid off in the 90+4 minute. Joao Pedro’s acrobatic shot was parried by goalkeeper Raya, allowing the ball to rebound and score.
