Hebron, 12 Ramadan 1436/29 June 2015 (MINA) – Israeli forces on Sunday detained two Palestinian in Yatta south of Hebron and took them to an unknown location, committee says.

Coordinator for the popular resistance committees in southern Hebron Ratib al-Jbour identified the detainees as Issa Mohammad al-Shawaheen,18, and Ghassan Issa al-Shawaheen,15. The two were detained for allegedly throwing rocks at Israeli military vehicles, he added, Ma’an News Agency reports as quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).

An Israeli military spokesperson did not have immediate information on Sunday’s detentions.

Sunday’s detentions come as Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem are regularly detained by Israeli forces Israeli forces often on the pretext of perceived security threats, and Addameer estimates that 40 percent of the Palestinian male population has been arrested at some point.
