PALESTINIAN PEOPLE PERFORM FRIDAY PRAYER AT SIDE OF AL-AQSHA MOSQUE

Al-Quds (Jerusalem), 4 Dzulhijjah 1435/28 September 2014 (MINA) – Israeli occupation regime forces prohibited Palestinian people carrying out Friday prayer in al-Aqsha mosque (Eastern Jerusalem). They applied tight guard around gate of the old city.

Israeli soldiers prevented Palestinian people below 50 years old from entering al-Aqsha mosque. They tightened guard at every gate in the mosque. They reasoned that the Palestinian people would hold demonstration after the Friday prayer.

Israeli soldiers have changed the al-Quds city look like a military barack. It was not usual, they deployed police forces and soldiers in the city, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) correspondent in Gaza reported.

Finally, The Palestinian people carried out Friday prayer in roads near the mosque after Israel imposed restrictions by closing the the mosque regularly.

The Israeli occupation soldiers patrolled with military vehicles. They barricaded with iron fences near the gates of the old city. They also examined identity cards of al-Quds people who were crossing in the city.

Israel claimed, the old city (Jerusalem) was a capital city of Israel. They asked US embassy to be placed there, but the US refused the demand.

Al-Quds is the center of Islamic civilization because it is the first qibla of muslims. There are al-Aqsha mosque and other mosques built by comrades of Prophet Muhammad peace up on Him such as Umar ibn khatab. (L/K01/K03/P009/P3)
