PALESTINIAN GOVERNMENT COMMITS TO RECONCILIATION’S ITEMS

Gaza, 12 Sha’ban 1435/10 June 2014 (MINA)- Spokesperson of the Palestinian government Ihab Bseiso confirmed his government’s commitment to the reconciliation items and the Cairo agreement, stressing that they are studying financial solutions to achieve justice for all.

“The government took steps  to unify the Palestinian institutions in the current transitional phase,” he said in a statement,Monday (9/6), ALRAY, Palestinian Media Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Bseiso said that the government is to form an administrative and legal committee to study the case  of the governmental servants in Gaza under the law.

“The government will exert efforts in order to remove the impacts of the seven- year disunity. This requires intensive efforts, cooperation, and a genuine partnership from all the political parties and institutions,” he added.

Bseiso stressed that the government is looking for solutions to the salary problems which created a state of tension between people, stressing that maintaining security is a national duty.

“The government deals with all developments thoughtfully, maintains the national reconciliation, and enhances the spirit of the national unity as well as the rights of citizens,” he pointed out.

Hamas and Fatah signed a reconciliation agreement in Gaza on 23 April 2014, with the aim of ending the divisions that have occurred since 2007.

The agreement has set the formation of a national unity government until presidential and legislative elections to be held in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.(T/Nidiya/E01)
