Gaza, MINA – Gaza’s ministry of social development has called on the international community for immediate action to protect Palestinian women and end impunity for crimes committed against them, the Palestinian Information Center reports.
According to the ministry, 11,900 women have been killed during the war, while survivors bear the heavy burden of loss, family care, and worsening living and health conditions.
The ministry stressed that depriving women of their right to a safe life and human dignity violates international humanitarian law, which mandates the protection of civilians during wartime.
“Palestinian women are not mere numbers in casualty statistics. They are mothers, daughters, and sisters who have the right to life, dignity, and safety,” the ministry said.
