Jerusalem, MINA – Israeli occupation settlers destroyed the main electricity line supplying the Palestinian village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, on Friday, marking the second attack targeting the village’s power infrastructure within a week.
According to the Palestine Information Center, settlers entered Al-Minya and deliberately damaged the main electricity line, causing a widespread power outage and creating fear among local residents.
The village experienced a similar attack on June 26, when settlers threw stones at Palestinian homes and cut the main electricity line, leaving large sections of the community without electricity.
Settler attacks have also targeted utility workers in the Bethlehem area. In mid-June, a maintenance crew from the Jerusalem District Electricity Company was reportedly assaulted and pelted with stones while carrying out repairs to electrical infrastructure between the villages of Abu Njeim and Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem.
