West Bank, MINA – The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that amending military orders in the West Bank to expand the death penalty against Palestinian prisoners before Israeli military courts is a dangerous new escalation in Israel’s genocidal colonial project against Palestinians.
The PPS said in a statement Monday that the move comes two months after the enactment of the so-called “Execution of Prisoners Law” and reaffirms the existential threats facing Palestinians amid international inaction.
The Society said Israel has carried out extrajudicial killings through daily field executions and slow executions in prisons, and is now working to legalize these crimes with legislative and judicial cover.
The PPS also noted that armed settler crimes in the West Bank are escalating, with settlers carrying out killings under Israeli army protection.

The PPS called on free nations and international organizations to boycott the Israeli Knesset as an institution that legitimizes genocide, and to dismantle Israeli military courts.[]
