Washington, MINA – US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he will sever all trade with Spain after the Spanish government barred the United States from using its military bases to carry out attacks on Iran.

“We’re going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don’t want anything to do with Spain,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

The President’s threat comes in response to a statement issued Monday by the Spanish government, which declared that the US has neither used, nor will it use, Spanish military bases to conduct attacks against Iran. Madrid insisted that it maintains full control over its sovereign facilities.

The diplomatic rift widens as the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran continues. The large-scale attacks, which began on Saturday, have reportedly killed nearly 800 people, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and top military officials. Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US assets.
