Jakarta, MINA – The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep regret over the collapse of negotiations between the United States and Iran, which has led to a military escalation in the Middle East region, and has officially offered to mediate the conflict.
In a statement posted on X on Saturday, the Ministry called on all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize dialogue and diplomacy to resolve their differences.
“Indonesia reiterates the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of every country and resolving differences through peaceful means,” the Ministry wrote.
The Indonesian government, through President Prabowo Subianto, has conveyed its readiness to facilitate dialogue aimed at restoring conducive security conditions.

Furthermore, should both conflicting parties agree, the President has stated his willingness to travel directly to Tehran to conduct mediation efforts.
Indonesia views the escalating tensions in the Middle East as a potential threat to regional stability as well as global peace and security.
In light of the ongoing situation, the Ministry has also issued an advisory for Indonesian citizens in the affected areas. Citizens are urged to remain calm, heighten their vigilance, follow instructions from local authorities, and maintain communication with the nearest Indonesian representative office.[]
