Jakarta, MINA – Chairman of the Center for Dialogue and Cooperation among Civilizations (CDCC), Prof. Dr. M. Din Syamsuddin, expressed hope that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will officially open the 9th World Peace Forum (WPF), scheduled to take place in Jakarta from November 9 to 11, 2025.
“This will be a valuable opportunity for President Prabowo to address global leaders and deliver messages from Indonesia,” Din said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
At least 70 figures from 18 countries have confirmed their attendance at this biennial event, along with around 100 invited Indonesian dignitaries, totaling approximately 200 participants.
This year’s forum carries the theme “Considering Wasatiyyat Islam & Tiong Hua for Global Collaboration.” According to Din, the theme was inspired by a collective awareness to seek alternative values rooted in Wasatiyyat Islam and Chinese thought, aiming for peace, justice, and coexistence. This serves as a contribution of Islamic teachings and Asian wisdom to the global community.

He emphasized the importance of mutual understanding and appreciation of human values, particularly the value of peace.
The CDCC, established in June 2007 by scholars and activists from various backgrounds, is an international organization committed to promoting dialogue and cooperation among civilizations.[]
