Dozens of Palestinians Injured in Anti-Illegal Settlements Protest (photo special)

Ramallah, MINA – Dozens of Palestinians were injured in an anti-settlement protest in the West Bank on Friday afternoon, when Israeli occupation forces (IOF) broke up the crowd with tear gas and grenades.

In Nablus, a number of Palestinians took to the streets to protest the new settlement post in the village of Asira Al-Shamaliya for the second Friday.

According to witness as the Palestine Information Center reported IOF attacked the demonstrators with tear gas and stun grenades, injuring a number of them.

“IOF attacked the demonstrators with tear gas and stun grenades, injuring a number of them, and setting fire to nearby agricultural land,” witnesses reported.

IOF subsequently fired shock grenades at the Press crews present there, with the intention of preventing them from covering the protest.

In Qalqilya, dozens of Palestinians choked with tear gas when IOF put out a weekly demonstration against the separation wall and settlement in the village of Kafr Qaddum.

An activist, Murad Shtewi reported that injured protesters were immediately treated in the field.

Meanwhile, IOF attacked demonstration in the village of Kifl Hares and prevented Palestinians from marching on their land that was threatened with confiscation for settlement construction.

The demonstrators were greeted with rubber-coated logan bullets, tear gas canisters and stun grenades. Some of them were injured but no serious cases reported. (T/RE1).
