Japan Open 2018: Indonesia Wins One Title from Kevin / Marcus
Tokyo, MINA – Indonesian men’s doubles pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo / Marcus Fernaldi Gideon have successfully defended their title in the Japan Open 2018 after defeating Li Junhui / Liu Yuchen (China), with a score of 21-11, 21-13.
The title was the sixth won by Kevin / Marcus this year after the titles at 2018 Daihatsu Indonesia Masters, India Open 2018 BWF World Super 500 Tour, All England 2018 BWF World Tour Super 1000, Indonesia Open 2018 Blibli Super BWF World Tour 1000 and 2018 Asian Games.
“We are happy to be able to defend our title. Moreover, this tournament is in Japan can give the best results for our sponsors,” Kevin said, reported by PBSI website.
In the final match which took place at Musashino Forest Sports Plaza. Although Li / Liu changed their game tactics, Kevin / Marcus appeared solid and did not give Li / Liu an opportunity to develop their game.
