EU FMs to Discuss Mideast Peace Process with Arab Ministers

Brussels, MINA – EU foreign ministers will discuss the Middle East Peace Process in Brussels Monday with the Delegation of the League of Arab States on Jerusalem, chaired by Jordan and which includes the Palestinian Authority, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, as well as LAS Secretary General Ahmed Abul-Gheit, KUNA reported, citing EU sources.

In January, the EU ministers met in Brussels with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, one month after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and discussed the Middle East Peace Process.

The EU foreign ministers will also take stock of the situation in Myanmar, in particular in Rakhine State, which remains extremely serious.

They are expected to condemn ongoing widespread, systematic grave human rights violations against the Rohingya and also discuss the possibility of expanding sanction on the regime in Myanmar, EU sources told journalists. T/RS5/RS1)
