105 JERUSALEMITES DETAINED DURING THIS YEAR

Gaza, 19 Jumadil Awwal 1434/31 March 2013 (MINA) – Prisoners Club said,” the Israeli occupation troops had arrested 105 Jerusalemite (natives of Jerusalem) since the beginning of this year,” adding, this statistics includes the files followed up via the Prisoners’ Club lawyer, Mofeed Al-Haj. 

“they were detained under unjust claims by the Israeli occupation including: Participating in marchs in solidarity with hunger striker detainees, organizing administrations to prevent settlers from entering Al-Aqsa mosque, in addition to the last events happened on Shifat checkpoint.” The Club remarked, according to Alray Media Agency reports monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

“Occupation attorney presented many lists of accusation against 85 citizens of 105 claiming that they throw stones on the occupation, participate in the demonstrations, being belonged to specific party, and attacking the settlers and the occupation soldiers.” Illuminated.

According to the Club, the occupation imposed house arrest on 34 detainees after introducing lists of allegations against them, sentencing  them outside prison, moreover, 15 detainees released without conditions because no proofs found against them so they had been sentenced outside the prison.

It pointed out , “20 Jerusalemites were released without conditions presented, for there is no proof found against them at all,” explaining that 36 had been arrested untile completing the court measures, 12 of them sentenced on working for the benefits of the public and the rest had been imprisoned for 42 months at maximum.

“Even 20 children included in the arrest which confirms that the occupation aims all the people of the society include, women, children, old, and young  in order to do his plans and policy which are against the Palestinian people,” Al-Haj said. (T/P02/P03/E1)
