Wins 97 Percent, Netanyahu to Form Right Wing Coalition

Tel Aviv, MINA – With 97.3% of polling stations counted by Israel’s Central Election Committee (CEC), the Likud Party led by Benjamin Netanyahu will form a right-wing coalition with coalition parties.

Meanwhile, both Netahayu and Blue White Alliance which is carried out by Benny Gantz, have won 35 seats each other in Israeli Knesset of April 9 election.

Reported from Maan News, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have won fifth consecutive term as prime minister and has a clear majority of support for forming a right-wing coalition government.

On Wednesday morning, Netanyahu said, this was an unimaginable achievement.

Netanyahu confirmed that he had begun talks with leaders of the right-wing Israeli party and almost all of them publicly stated they would recommend him to form a new government.

“There will be a right-wing government, but I intend to become prime minister of all Israelis, right and left, Jews, and non-Jews,” Netanyahu explained.

So far, the ultra-Orthodox Shas party and the United Torah Judaism have won eight seats each other and the Israeli Labor party has won only six seats in Knesset.

The New Right Party, and the right-wing Zehut party did not make it past the election threshold.

The results currently place the right-wing block namely Likud party in the top position with 65 seats, while the left-wing block of Blue White Alliance stands at 55 seats. (T/Sj/R04)
