Gaza, 7 Shawwal 1435/3 August 2014 (MINA) – Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said Israeli occupation regime aggression for 26 days until Saturday had caused 1,626 killed and 8,830 others injured.
Victims of the occupation regime aggression increased following Israeli occupation regime soldiers violating ceasefire by bombarding Rafah, south of Gaza, Friday morning Gaza time. The bombardment caused dozens of people killed and more than 200 others injured.

Ministry of Health reported the number of dead victims included 1012 men, 180 women, 364 children and 70 old people. While number of injured victims included, 4092 men, 1736 women, 2662 children and 340 old people.

Majority of the victims were civilians. Crew of media (70 people) and medical staff (57 people) also became victims of Israeli occupation regime attacks, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) Correspondent in Gaza reported.

Israeli occupation regime aggression since 7 July had destroyed about 9540 houses, 108 mosques, 172 schools and 178 public buildings.

Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza called for international help to evacuate thousands of civilians trapped by Israeli occupation regime bombardment in Rafah. The bombardment caused at least 50 people died and more than 200 others injured.

Victims of Israeli occupation regime attacks in Rafah would continue increasing following many victims covered beneath ruins were not evacuated yet. It was because Israel occupation regime prohibited medical teams from taking the victims’ body.

Ministry of health also said Israeli occupation regime attacks increased around five kilometers between street of Salahuddin and al-Najjar Hospital, Rafah. Ambulances were not able to reach the place to take injured people. While thousands of civilians trapped in their homes.

The Ministry notified formally to International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva about critical situation in Rafah.

Health Ministry of Gaza called upon ICRC, the UN, international Institutions and independent people soon to evacuate civilians, dead bodies and injured people. The Health ministry also asked international world to press Israel occupation regime to end massacre in Gaza. (L/K01/Syt/E01)
