Jakarta, MINA –  Thousands of Muslims who are members of the Alliance of Indonesia Defends al-Aqsa Mosque (AIMMA) held the Action defends Al-Aqsa Mosque at Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, Jakarta, Friday (7/21/2017).

The “Indonesia Defends the Aqsa Mosque” action was initiated by AIMMA as a form of support for the Palestinians who are currently in a situation of concern following the closure and attack by Israeli troops against worshippers performing prayer at the entrance of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Chairman of the AIMMA Advisory Board, Bachtiar Nasir insisted that support for the Palestinians should be done together, should not be separated. According to him, it is the same as what happened in the time of Sultan Sholahuddin Al-Ayyubi.

“There used to be sultan Sholahuddin Al-Ayyubi who managed to free the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Remember, Sholahuddin Al-Ayyubi is not alone but a generation of Sholahuddin who is obedient to Allah, “Bachtiar Nasir said in front of thousands of participants.

On that occasion, Bachtiar hopes that the generation of Sholahuddin will again be born among Indonesian Muslims.

“Hopefully we are all become the next generation of Sholahuddin. Many people think our energy runs out after doing several times the Islamic Defense Action. But now we show that we still care about our brothers in Palestine, “he said.
