The Signing Al-Quds Oath

Kuala Lumpur, MINA – The Humanitarian Organization Al Aqsha Working Group (AWG) and Youth of Jama’ah msulimin (Hizbullah) signed Al-Quds Oath along with 150 delegates from various countries in the campus of Malaysia International Islamic University (UIAM), Thursday.


The open meeting of signing Al Quds Oath to Fight againts  Trump’s illegal claim on Al-Quds (Jerusalem) was organized by the Malaysian Al-Quds Foundation, attended by more than 150 delegates from inside and outside Malaysia including Palestine, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sudan, Turkey and Maldives.


Chairman of the Malaysian Al Quds Foundation, DR. Sharif Abu Shammala explained the reason of the signing contained 4 things:
First, rejecting Israeli occupation on Palestine.

Second, rejecting the existence of the state of Israel which was founded on the ruins of the destruction of rights, religion and patriotism.

Third, rejecting the claim that Al Quds is the capital ciry of Israel.

Fourth, emphasizing to save Al Quds from Zionist occupation which is the responsibility of every citizen of the world.


The chairman stated, Al Quds Oath is a manifestation of support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and specifically the rejection of the unilateral claim by US President Donald Trump that claims Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.


A year ago, President Trump conveyed this statement and resulted in the increasing of suffering of Palestinians because of the increasingly violence commited by Israeli occupation authorities.


A special guest in the seminar was the Deputy Minister of Public Works of Malaysia, Dato Muhammad Anuar Tahir and NGO leaders, UIAM Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, leaders of Ulama organizations and Palestinian-concerned women’s organizations.

The meeting became more meaningful with the presence of Ustadzah Zayna Amr, one of the leaders of the Murabithah or the women protectors of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Zayna Amr came to Malaysia to answer the invitation of Al Quds Foundation in Malaysia to explain the current condition of Al Quds.


Shammala hoped that the presence of Zayna Amr can open the eyes of the citizens of Malaysia and the world that Al Quds’s condition is increasingly being critical and Palestinians are increasingly suffering.


“With the increasing awareness of the citizens of the world, they will be increasingly concerned to provide real support for Al Quds and Palestine,” she said.

More than 40 leaders of institutions participated in signing the oath. Among the institutions and NGOs concerned about Palestine that support this activity are the Aqsa Working Group, and Youth of Jamaah Muslimin (Hizbullah) from Indonesia, the Malaysia Policy, the World Ulema Association, Al Aqsa Sharief, Sympathy Malaysia, UIAM, Universitas Utara Malaysia, BDS Malaysia, PCOM, MyAqsa, Palestine Scholars Association in the Diaspore. In fact, a number of mass media came from TV 3 Malaysia, Al Hijrah and other local media. (TR/Sj/P2)
