Washington, 28 Rajab 1438/25 April 2017 (MINA) — US President Donald Trump stressed Monday that the “status quo” in North Korea is “unacceptable.”

At a working lunch in the White House with UN Security Council (UNSC) Ambassadors, Trump stressed that the UNSC “must be prepared to impose additional and stronger sanctions on North Korean nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

“This is a real threat to the world, whether we want to talk about it or not. North Korea is a big world problem, and it’s a problem we have to finally solve,” he remarked.

Earlier today, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley told CBS network, “what we’re dealing with is a leader who is flailing right now,” referring to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.

She added “I think what he’s trying to do is show his citizens that he has muscle, whether it’s through his rhetoric, or whether it’s through his actions.”

Meanwhile, it was announced today that top US officials would conduct a “classified” briefing on North Korea on Wednesday to all 100 senators at the White House.
