Saudi Ambassador: Habib Rizieq Only Victim of Tauhid Flag Case

Jakarta, MINA — Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Osama bin Mohammed Al-Shuaibi said, Habieb Rizieq Shihab was only a victim of a case of displaying a tauhid flag at the rear of his house in Saudi Arabia some time ago.

This was revealed by Deputy Chairperson of the Head of Foreign Relations of the Central Management (PP) of Muhammadiyah Muhyiddin Junaidi to reporters while receiving a visit by the Saudi Ambassador in his office in Jakarta, Tuesday (13/11).

“He (the Saudi Ambassador) said, Habieb Rizieq lives safely in Saudi Arabia, and has never done anything related to criminals, even Rizieq is a victim of a certain group that intentionally creates national instability,” he said.

Regarding the video of questioning on Rizieq by local security, he said, Rizieq was only questioned and gave an explanation about the display of the tawhid flag and he also did not know the culprit.

Meanwhile Ambassador Osama himself explained, “if the flag is put on the wall as a picture, it is necessary to find out who did it like that. Second, if someone put a flag is considered criminal? No, right? ”

Furthermore, he said, the case of the tauhid flag did not get the attention of the Saudi Arabian government and only in Indonesia the case was fussed.

Regarding the residence permit question related to Rizieq, if you have a problem in Arabia, you must have been imprisoned. However, Rizieq is still guaranteed life by the governments of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
