Qatar to Give $100 For Each Gazan’s Family

Gaza, MINA – Qatar provides cash humanitarian assistance to around 55,000 poor people in Gaza, worth $100 per family.

Distribution of cash assistance will be carried out through the post office of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in the Gaza Governorate, under the supervision of staff and staff of the National Committee for Reconstruction of Gaza.

The Ministry of Communication will send it through the distribution centers. The Quds Press reported on Sunday.

The donation is part of the Qatar Emir’s $150 million grant, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to the residents of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The head of the Political Bureau of the Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement, Ismail Haniyah, on Sunday night, received the head of the National Committee for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, Qatar’s Ambassador Mohammed Al-Emadi, in Gaza.

Hamas said the meeting was aimed at following up on humanitarian issues in Gaza and the prospect of the role of “active and positive” countries in humanitarian and development projects to alleviate all Gaza Strip residents.

Al-Emadi arrived in the Gaza Strip late Tuesday via the Beit Hanoun-Erez crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Qatar Committee announced that it would begin disbursing the fourth installment of cash assistance for poor families in the Gaza Strip on Monday.

The National Committee for reconstruction of Gaza recently signed with the United Nations, a memorandum of understanding states that the National Committee provides $20 million in a year, for the implementation of the “cash to work” program in the interests of the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
