PALESTINIANS SEEK FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE: HAMAS

Ramallah, 11 Safar 1437/23 November 2015 (MINA) – Senior Hamas official Nazih Abu Aoun has said that the Palestinian people seek to wrest their freedom and independence from the occupation, expressing his belief that al-Quds intifada surprised everyone by its ability to expand and gain momentum.

“The stupidity of the occupation, which has never learned from its past experiences, will remain a lifeline for the delivery of the fuel needed to get liberated from it and obtain freedom,” Abu Aoun stated in press remarks on Friday, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

“The occupation has not been convinced that our people will never forget their rights and holy sites and will not stay passive towards oppression and violations,” the Hamas official underlined.

Abu Aoun commented on the resistance operations in Tel Aviv and Gush Etzion on Thursday and said they were a natural response to Israel’s ongoing aggressive and provocative acts against the Palestinians.

He also slammed the Israeli government’s decision to outlaw the Islamic Movement and described it as a reflection of the arrogance and stupidity of its premier Benjamin Netanyahu.(T/P008/R03)
