Palestine Supports The Activeness of Indonesia In Middle East

indo palestineJakarta, 13 Rabi’ul Akhir 1437/23 January 2015 (MINA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Riad Al-Maliki welcomed the measures taken by Indonesia in the Middle East over the years.

Al Maliki stated it during the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Retno L.P Marsudi, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC),  Jeddah, according to the official release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA), Saturday.

The both Foreign Ministers agreed that the biggest challange for the Islamic world today is radicalization and terrorism. For the Islamic countries and OIC have to work together to overcome this problems.

Palestinians also expressed their appreciation to Indonesian in supporting their struggle.

The opening of the Indonesian Honorary Consul in Ramallah will be done in the near future. That is the form of political support for Palestine.

Retno L.P Marsudi and Riyad Al-Maliki also met the Secretary General of  OIC to discuss Indonesia’s plans to host OIC Extra Ordinary Summit with Palestinian independence and Al-Quds Al-Sharif freedom from Zionist as the main issue.

The summit to be held in March 2016 in Jakarta inviting 57 OIC’s heads of states. (TL/P008/R03)
