OIC Chief Condemns St. Petersburg Metro Bomb Blast

Jeddah, 7 Rajab 1438/4 April-2017 (MINA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the metro in Russia’s second-largest city of St. Petersburg on Monday, killing a number of people and wounding others.

OIC Secretary General Yousef Al-Othaimeen voiced his condemnation of this criminal act targeting innocent citizens, offering sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Russia.

He wished those who were injured a speedy recovery, IINA News Reported, Tuesday (4/4).

The secretary general reiterated the OIC’s principled position that condemns terrorism whatever its sources and motives.

He has meanwhile reaffirmed the Organization’s determination to continue its efforts, in coordination with the international community, to contain the threat posed by the scourge of terror.(T/R04/RS5)
