Minister: Entrepreneurs Face Industrial Revolution 4.0

Jakarta, MINA – National Development Planning Minister /Head of National Development Planning Agency, Bambang Brodjonegoro said, the importance of entrepreneurs in facing the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) to realize advanced Indonesia in 2045.

He conveyed this when opening the Indonesian Forum Seminar 18: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Era of Industrial Revolution4.0 which was the result of the collaboration between the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and the Indonesian Forum Foundation (YIF) in Jakarta, Friday.

“There is still one component that distinguishes Indonesia from other developed countries in 2045, that is entrepreneurship. Indonesia still lacks and in terms of quality, “Bambang explained.

For this reason, Bambang, who is also serves as the general chairman of YIF expected the contributions from any provinces to produce many entrepreneurs to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

“There are no developed country which runs only by having a good bureaucracy, but it requires entrepreneurs who are able to drive business and create a breakthrough in the business world,” he continued.

According to him, become an entrepreneur can start from all levels of business such as micro, small, medium and large businesses.

“Like Japan, China, and Thailand, most entrepreneurs start from the lower levels and then they become big now,” said Bambang.
