Qalqiliya, 27 Dzulhijjah 1436/10 October 2015 (MINA) – Scores of Palestinian young men suffered from inhaling tear gas and a carpenter’s workshop went on fire during violent clashes last night in a neighborhood south of Qalqiliya city.

Eyewitnesses told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops brutally attacked young protesters and citizens in Jaljulia street and showered them with a hail of tear gas grenades, causing many of them to suffocate.

Red Crescent sources said, in turn, that medical assistance was provided for more than 80 protesters and citizens during the events in the area. Al-Qassam quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The intensity of tear gas fired by the soldiers also led a carpenter’s workshop on the same street to catch fire and sustain extensive damage.

The clashes started after a group of angry young men, protesting Israel’s recent escalation of its violations against the Palestinians and their holy sites, marched to the iron military gate south of Qalqiliya. (T/P002/R07)
