Israeli Organization Calls for Changing Al-Rahma Mosque to Become Synagogue

Al-Quds, MINA – The Israeli organization, the Mountain Temple Federation on Monday called for the occupied Al-Rahma Mosque to be converted into a synagogue.

Arab48 reported the organization also called for the establishment of a Jewish directorate located at the entrance of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to oversee Jewish activities inside Al-Haram Al-Sharif.

The plan came after Palestinians reentered the Al-Rahma Gate area at Al-Aqsa Mosque and prayed there for the first time in more than 15 years.

The federation stressed the importance of taking steps that lead to changes in the identity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, to guarantee a permanent Jewish presence there, and eliminate Muslim claims to the holy site and give Israel sovereignty over the place.

One way to do that is to mobilize supporters into the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday in an effort to enter the Al-Rahma Gate and seize it. (T/Sj/P2)
