Al Quds, 11 Muharram 1436/4 November 2014 (MINA) – Israeli forces Tuesday morning with bulldozers demolished two houses in Silwan South Jerusalem under the pretext of having no permission, threatening the demolition of more houses in the area.

Eyewitnesses said that dozens of Israeli occupation military and policemen broke into the village, surrounded the threatened houses and immediately bulldozed the house of released prisoner Khalil Abu Rajab, without letting the residents get anything out of the house.

Residents said that the demolition crimes come as a series of punishments, vowed by the extremist Zionist Nir Brakhat, to revenge from the young Palestinians who participated in clashes against Israeli forces, Palestine News Network (PNN), quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

As part of the punishment series, Israeli forces have been searching stores and shops in Silwan, asking for permissions and legal papers, and forcing fines.

Recently, Israeli soldiers have been taking pictures of the houses and structures.

Silwan village witnessed tension and verbal altercations that evolved into scuffles during the Palestinian attempts of keeping the soldiers from demolishing homes.

Released prisoner Khalil Abu Rajab served 11 years in Israeli prisons, out of the sentenced 16, since he was released in 2000.(T/P008/R03)
