Indonesian AWG Chairperson Called Manama Conference Divide Arab Countries

Jakarta, MINA – Agus Sudarmaji, Chairperson of the Al-Aqsa Working Group (AWG) and representative of the unifying forum of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah), said the Manama conference was one of the efforts of the United States to divide Middle East countries.

“There is an attempt to break the Middle East countries, which is clearly to present at the Manama Conference, is Saudi Arabia and Bahrain,” Agus Sudarmaji said at a press conference held at the Palestinian Embassy, Jakarta, Wednesday 26 June.

The Saudi Arabian delegation was led by Finance Minister Mohammed al-Jadaan to attend the Manama conference, “Peace for Prosperity” in Bahrain held on June 25-26.

He said, the conference seemed to be divisive between the countries that were at odds with other Middle Eastern countries that supported Palestinian independence.

“Behind the Manama Conference is not for the welfare of the Palestinian people but instead for extending occupation in Palestine,” Agus said.

He told that the Manama Conference is a narrative of “The Deal of Century” initiated by the US and its allies on the pretext of providing Palestinian welfare.

“The conference is also illegal, because Palestine itself as the recipient and executor of the recommendations from the conference is not included,” he said.

Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah), representative of Islamic Organizations in the press conference invites all Indonesian people, from government, mass organizations, political parties and mass media to fight and commit to continue supporting Palestinian independence. (TL/Ais/P2)
