House of Representatives Appreciate Indonesia-Australia Muslim Youth Exchange Program

Jakarta, MINA – Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission II, Nihayatul Mafiroh appreciates the Muslim Youth Exchange Program organized by the Indonesian-Australian Institute (IAI).

He considered this program was very interesting because some Muslim youth from Indonesia and Australia exchanged to introduce Islam directly from person to person (people to people).

“Because they usually learn from agencies or institutions, or organizations to organizations. But it learns directly from people with a fairly relaxed atmosphere, so that the knowledge explored is even more profound, “said Ninik, nicknamed Nihayatul in Jakarta, Wednesday (1/30).

It id not only introducing Islam, continued Ninik, but also learning about the conditions of Islam in the countries that they visited.

“Sometimes, because they don’t know each other, there arises mutual suspicion between religious people in Australia. With the existence of this Muslim youth exchange program, they can get to know the real conditions of Islam, including those in Indonesia, “said this PKB politician.

Ninik also explained about the DPR RI as one of the state institutions with three main functions, namely the function of legislation, budgetary functions, and the supervisory function. It includes the duties or the commissions and Council Completions in the Republic of Indonesia. (TL/Sj/P2)
