Gaza City, 16 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/6 February 2015 (MINA) – During a press conference held in Gaza City on Thursday, the armed wings of Gaza-based Palestinian factions reiterated that their resistance merely focuses on efforts to end the Israeli occupation and never interferes in the internal affairs of any Arab country, particularly Egypt.

They said the court decision reflects the attitude of neither the Egyptian people nor the Palestinian nation, who respect anti-Israel resistance, Albawaba News quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The comments came after the Cairo Court of Urgent Matters claimed in a lawsuit on January 31 that Hamas was involved in recent attacks against Egypt’s security forces, listing the resistance movement’s military wing as a “terrorist organization”.

The armed Palestinian factions further stressed that the international and Egyptian courts should be concerned about the Israeli terrorism, which is the true one.

They also described Egypt’s move as a “dagger in the back of resistance”, adding that they would “continue the journey of resistance to liberate Palestine”.

Blacklisting Qassam Brigades “is an award to Israel and serves the interests of the enemies of the Palestinian people and the Arab nation,” said the Palestinian groups, calling on the Egyptian nation to denounce the “unjust” verdict and stand by the anti-Israel resistance in Palestine.

They also called for mass protests in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on Friday to express anger at the Egyptian court’s verdict.

Hamas had earlier condemned the court ruling as “political”, adding that such a verdict is aimed at hiding the “failure and the lack of security in Egypt at this time”. (T/P001/P3)
