Gunmen Kill 3 Indian Security Personnel in Kashmir

New Delhi, 15 Dzulqa’dah 1437/18 August 2016 (MINA) – At least two Indian soldiers and one police officer were killed in a militant attack on a military convoy in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The gunmen launched their attack on the security personnel early Wednesday, also injuring four others, the Indo Asian News Agency quoted a police officer as saying.

The security forces cordoned off the area and launched a massive search operation to trace the attackers, he added.

Today’s attack came one day after the killing of five militants in the Indian army during a foiled infiltration bid near the Line of Control from the Pakistani side to Indian territories.
