Dr. Alturki Arrives in Indonesia for Conference on Fight against Terrorism

Mataram, Lombok Island, 25 Syawwal 1437/30 July 2016 (MINA) – Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), a member of the senior scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsin Alturki and his accompanying delegation arrived in Mataram, Lombok Island, in the Republic of Indonesia on Thursday.

He is slated to open a conference on the fight against terrorism and sectarianism during his visit, in the country,  SPA reported from Jeddah on Friday.

Alturki has repeatedly stressed in various forums that Islamic world had nothing to do with terrorists and extremists organizations and ISIS should not be correlated with Islam.

He said Islam considers the killing of an innocent as killing of the entire humankind. It not only guarantees rights for Muslims but also for non-Muslims.

The conference will be held during the period July 30 to August 3. (T/R07/R01)
