At Least 46 Palestinians Wounded during Prisoner Day Action

Gaza, MINA – At least 46 Palestinians were wounded by bullet and tear gas fired by Israeli soldiers, during the Prison Day action held on Friday.

According to Safa, thousands of people flocked to camp after the Asr prayer to participate in Prison Day action to fulfill the appeal of Supreme National Commission for Action.

The source said that in east of Gaza City, a citizen was injured by Israeli live shrapnel and others were experiencing breath shortness of tear gas fired at this peaceful demonstration.

Meanwhile, at the al-Awda refugee camp east of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis, a woman and a paramedic volunteer were shot with rubber bullets by Israeli soldiers. An ambulance was also attacked with gas grenades.

Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 37 Palestinians, 5 paramedics and 4 journalists were injured in the attack on protesters in eastern Gaza Strip.

Since March 30, 2018, Palestinians in Gaza have participated in mass demonstrations demanding the right to return from refugees and demand the lifting of Israeli siege imposed in the Gaza Strip.
