AL AZHAR INDONESIA DONATES FRESH MONEY TO INDONESIAN HOSPITAL IN GAZA

Jakarta, 28 Dhulhijja 1435/22 October 2014 (MINA) – Chairman of the YPI (Education Islamic Foundation) Al-Azhar Indonesia, H. Muhammad Suhadi handed over a contribution of 50 million rupiahs to Indonesian hospital in Gaza.

Donation was received by humanitarian agency Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), in the Great Mosque of Al Azhar Complex, Jl. Singamangaraja, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta, Tuesday (21/10).

MER-C is a humanitarian organization that initiated the development of Indonesia Hospital in Gaza based on the trust of the people of Indonesia to the Palestinians.

“We donate this funds to Indonesia hospital in Gaza, hopefully with this contribution could be useful for the continuation of the establishment process of the hospital,” Suhadi told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA), Tuesday (21/10).

He said, the war in Gaza is very alarming, there are fighting and martyrdom there.

“We here always pray for the people of Palestine and may Allah put Gaza martyrs in place which God had promised,” said Suhadi.

Recently, Underground music community in Bandung, Central Java also took action to care for the Palestinian people and donated funds amounting to 2.002.200 rupiahs as a form of brotherhood to the people of Gaza, Palestine.

Donations are also channeled by humanitarian agency MER-C, at Cafe Lucy Mall, Antapani, Bandung, Sunday night (19/10).
