West Bank, MINA – Israeli occupation forces re-entered Tubas and Jenin on Monday, just one day after withdrawing, launching a new wave of military operations that included airborne landings, curfews, forced expulsions, and mass raids across the occupied West Bank.

According to Al Jazeera, Israeli occupation forces carried out airborne landings of infantry units in two areas of the Tubas governorate: Al-Ahraash and the Tubas Plain, located between the town of Aqaba and the city of Tubas.

Eyewitnesses reported that the military blocked main access roads with earth mounds, raided homes and businesses, and deployed drones and helicopters heavily across the area.

Simultaneously, Israeli soldiers forced Palestinian families out of their homes in the Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin, expanding operations only hours after troops had withdrawn from the area.

The renewed assault continued Israeli incursions into Aqaba, north of Tubas, which had already endured a four-day offensive marked by widespread destruction, vandalism, and violence against civilians.
Anadolu Agency reported that troops stormed Tubas and Aqaba again at dawn, resuming raids and ground operations less than 24 hours after their announced withdrawal.

Large military units were deployed throughout the governorate, imposing a full curfew beginning at 4 a.m. Bulldozers were used to block additional roads and isolate neighborhoods.

Residents said that soldiers raided homes and converted several of them into military outposts.

The Tubas Governorate stated that the new offensive came after days of massive destruction of public and private property, widespread arrests, and injuries.

Tubas Governor Ahmed Al-Asaad told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces enforced a total lockdown, expelled residents from their homes, and prevented medical teams from accessing the wounded. He held the Israeli government responsible for the ongoing assault and the paralysis of daily life in the region.

The Director of Education in Tubas ordered all schools to shift to remote learning due to the military-imposed curfew.

This latest raid follows a major operation launched last Wednesday across Tubas city, surrounding villages, and Al-Far’a refugee camp that lasted four days.

A similar assault is also underway in Qabatiya, south of Jenin, where a new curfew has been declared and several homes have been seized for military use. Eyewitnesses in multiple areas across the northern West Bank reported further arrests, home invasions, and forced displacement of families.

Meanwhile, in Hebron (Al-Khalil), illegal Israeli settlers detained Palestinians and vandalized agricultural land in the village of Al-Burj.

Military raids and settler attacks have sharply escalated across the occupied West Bank since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza. More than 1,085 Palestinians have been killed, nearly 11,000 injured, and over 21,000 detained during this period.[]
